MBotanicals Facial Elixir | Review

MBotanicals is a cruelty free skincare company that use plant based natural ingredients to help the skins natural healing process and repair and rebalance the skin. The sustainable business source organic, fair trade and local ingredients for their products. With all these positive aspects in mind, I leapt at the chance to try and review one of their products the Rejuvenating Facial Elixir.

I was kindly scent the Facial Elixir and as I have combination skin I decided to use the elixir as an overnight treatment rather than in the morning as oil + foundation is always a risky move for me. At night I have been applying the elixir underneath my normal moisturiser (and sometimes when I’m feeling lazy I will mix it into my moisturiser – Temple Spa’s Skin Truffle.) I have found it to be a great added pick-me-up for my skin especially at this time of the year when the weather conditions can really heighten any dryness in the skin.

Some elixirs or oils I have used in the past have caused me to break out, but that hasn’t been the case with this one. Rebecca has really thought out the ingredients used and the product works brilliantly. Containing quality ingredients like Frankincense Carterii which contains antiseptic and disinfectant properties that can help reduce any hormonal breakouts, Geranium that is also beneficial for acne prone skin and Rose that helps kill some types of bacteria. The scent of the product is pleasant and the minimal design of the labelling and bottle definitely stands out in my skin care collection.

The product retails for £32-00 which I think is a great price especially as a little product goes a long way. I can see myself having to replace this bottle once I reach the end of it.
